Extrapolating Gangelt's 15% infection rate to the entire US with a similar 0.37% mortality rate is obviously fraught with unknowns.

But this would project total US deaths at 185,000 or so, up from the current 16,034.

For comparison it's estimated that 25% of the global population became infected during the 1918 H1N1 influenza pandemic.
