re: Intel getting hammered this morning. Not sure what is really new out there.

I don't know; here's an attempt to put some thoughts on the table related to a much more generic change in thinking regarding Intel's prospects.

The fact that Intel is reviewing all previous investments that were aimed at diversification may confirm once more that Intel isn't a long term growth stock anymore. Also I think XSCALE prospects are lowered by the street.

After review and selling some parts of its loss making businesses I think Intel will focus on regaining market share in its main business, rather than going for another attempt at diversification.

In other words the street might have come to realize slightly more clearly that compared to a year ago all prospects of Intel having a chance to become something of a growth stock again might have vaporized (??).

Intel ceasing to be a long term growth stock is balanced against the nicer prospects of NGA. NGA should have some overruling possitive effect in H1 '07 at the latest.

Regards,

Rink
