Now seriously Joe. When you retire. If the market is finishing up its 30th straight bull market year (1982-2012), will anybody ever sell a stock except maybe to buy their annual new Rolls Royce?

There will be no bond market, there will be no commodity markets, no metals, no muni's, no baseball cards. Every dollar we have will be in stocks, because they "always go up".

Paychecks will be direct deposited into MSFT common. Escrow accounts will be in "safe" index funds. Fidelity will offer direct utility payments out of Magellan.

Anyway, I was making fun of that whole theory, as you know.
