Even if one allows the presumptive a priori premise of I for the sake of discussion, to assume meaninglessness is to commit the same logical error as to assume meaning. Each is an assumption with no more weight than the other. Our law of non-contradiction is a law with pragmatic value. It forces an either/or stance. This is useful for conducting our practical affairs (ie. building a bridge or performing an operation). But in the world of metaphysical principle one cannot afford the luxury of picking and choosing ones truth. Truth by definition is One, Unicity, or a Unity. Where is there meaning, and equally, where is there meaninglessness? The greatest of Vedantic statements, Thou Art That, means identity with what is. Without preconception. In the Koran one of the names of God is "Reality". The path to enlightenment lies between meaning and meaninglessness. ghunk
