Something else everyone should consider: I am 60 years old and have been riding Harley's since 1953 (it is my preferred method of transportation]. I just purchased a 1998 FLHST for $13,300 out the door [tax, title, dealer's prep, etc.]. I also purchased a brand new EVO motor [complete] for $2,995, for another bike I have. To me, that tells me that HD is coming back to reality, and getting a better handle on their dealers. Moreover, the bike was there, on the floor; along with many others. What else it tells me is that HD is sending a message to S&S to stay in their own back yard [who would pay over $5,000 for an S&S complete motor when you can buy a complete EVO for $2,995?]. Most anyone nowadays that is that into performance is going the Jap route [HD clones for far less money, and over 100 hp out of the box]. Just something else to think about!
