my office used to charge me that too, but, they just changed in the last week or two to another fee schedule. You should see if yours changed too. The part about the money being in your account, I think is a branch thing. I told them up front, that the only way I would switch brokers to come to them, is if they allowed me to trade without the money in my account, no matter what the security. Now after, many, many trades, I think they trust me, so it's no longer an issue.
