Hi Tim, Zak & all - 1st, I agree with Tim wholeheartedly, recounting the whole of FL with a standardized manner is the best way [which has always been my position :)!] At this juncture, I think the matter is out of the hands of both camps. From what I heard, when the decision is contested, it is up to the court to decide what and how to tally, or any other decision it deems necessary. I don't know if it is county by county or the whole state though. Of course, the court could also throw everything out by saying the Gore camp has its chances. I am actually eager to see how the court rule on the 4,700 Seminole County ballot case.

Zak, you pondered

Anyone think this is a setup for Gore to act in a statesmanlike manner and request that the lawsuit be dropped?

I thought I would delight Tim and Carl by saying, "I doubt it" :). While VP Gore may go low profile on this suit, he certainly doesn't mind it breaks on his favor!

best, Bosco
