Michael, thanks for the clarification on Ariel. I was thinking more along the lines of indirect competition to WIND in the form of various ad hoc tools, libraries, and roll-your-own solutions. There must be a lot of experienced people in this area that WIND could hire, acquire, or partner with.

On a slightly different topic: WIND's new DSP operating system is called WiSP, and I noticed in the press-release that WIND has trade-marked it. I did a web search on WiSP and was surprised to discover an existing software package with that name. I wonder if WIND management is aware of this? ...

WiSP: Windows Satellite Package. WiSP is a multi program package used to access the Amateur Radio UoSAT class satellites including UO-22 (UoSAT-5), KO-23 (KitSat-1) and KO-25 (KitSat-2), and also other amateur digital spacecraft running the FTL0 protocol. There are currently eight programs in the package that work together to perform the complete groundstation function.
