Maybe Nokia is kind of somewhat redefining their series, 6 for males and, obviously, 8 for women?? (in the second obligatory domestic language six and sex are the same, always fun in school)
Interesting views, thanks.
seems like:
- the wallet function is the key thing, very "relevant" (as well as more pixels and different design) - that 1mm more height than the 8310 is used for a more rugged cover and display - the bluetooth module takes some space, (as does the FM-radio), simple difference to the 6-series, which obviously must have both IR,cable and bluetooth. - reception should be better than most, would be interesting to see the data for that statement. (although there always is the question of an external-internal antenna, but not much at 1800MHz - few need the 900/1800/1900, those who need can, for the moment, feed the loss and market share of those who supply all three RF filters. - true, the 8210-30 still has this "something" in its design - the 8310-"bugs" are always just as fun as any lousy network
Anyway, seems like this is the time to "redefine" a lot of stuff, GPRS,displays, etc, even bluetooth, some promise a lot with high voice but low volume production, others make incremental, verifiable steps, prepare for high volumes.
