Actually, it was pretty condescending, especially given her defense of the United States. For example: "the war correspondent who practically invented its all about me journalism", "has practically become the Italian J.D. Salinger" (even though it has only been 10 years of seclusion and she has been ill), and "professional provocateur" (as if it were a careerist gambit). It did not mention points about the openness of American society, and its willingness to make itself vulnerable to attack, by admitting potentially hostile persons in great numbers, allowing them freedom to roam the country, and to enroll in flight school or university programs that would teach them how to engage in biochemical warfare. Instead, it focused on more dubious anti- immigrant points. In general, as far as I can see, Isabella Rossellini was right.......
