JRI, i'm sure you and your kids like cereal a lot, but i'm guessing that you spend more on your car than you do on cereal over the course of 5 years.

as far as kids electronics -- i played a TON of video games when i was a kid. old Atari systems, and Coleco (i think was the other brand). believe me, video games are as cheap or cheaper than they have ever been. i distinctly remember paying $50 bucks for PacMan. you can buy an XBox or PS2 today on Amazon for $200, and while most games are $50 bucks you can buy most with a buy 2, get 3rd free offer.

TVs are insanely cheaper. you can get a 27-inch with all the bells and whistles for what i paid for my current 19-inch TV which was purchased in 1987.

won't dis-agree on movie tix, sports tix and other local services. until we can get a million chineese to act like Brad Pitt or play baseball like Darren Erstad that won't change.

but manufactured goods prices are falling through the floor.

Cheers
