Mr. Breaded One,

There's a fundamental point that you must understand. Microsoft's main selling point for NT in big enterprise systems was that you could run your big systems on cheap Intel-based PC's rather than expensive hardware.

Actually, we were running NT on DEC Alphas. As far as MSFT selling point that never really came up for us. NT was chosen because it was recommended by vendors of products we were buying. NT was easier to administrator and much lower cost.
