Wow, so you are saying the downturn in inflation is very temporary and we're going back to 1980s inflation.... ouch!

Yesterday we had two burgers with salad and fries $18.25 ea plus organic, beans roasted in the cafe coffee ($2x$5) and it was $60+ with CA tax and TIP. When I worked at Farrells 50 yrs ago, damn that makes me friggin' OLD, a bacon cheeseburger with fries and a shake was just over $2... Maybe $2.50 with tax and TIP.

It reminds me of my Dad's aunt who used to babysit my father during the war (WW II) while grandpa worked at the soda fountain and grandma helped out with sales at a department store. If she had to work (she cut women's hair) she'd give my father a nickel to see a movie and get some candy for the afternoon. She used to complain about how I had to pay 50 cents to see a movie and popcorn or some candy was another 50 cents...
