Zen is Taoism in Buddhist clothing. Which is generally a non-interventionist philosophy in favor of living in harmony with mother nature rather than trying to force things. In general I agree with that outlook. But even I find it hard to shrug and say well, let nature do its thing and if the natural solution is the extinction of much of the world, so be it. That doesn't sit well with me.
