We very seldom see 90 at our house, and it typically is in the 70s, yet everyone I know has air conditioning. It just makes sense.

The National Weather Service predicts 'widespread record highs' in the region, with highs of 107 degrees in Portland, Oregon, and 104 degrees in Seattle in the next few days.

It would match the highest temperature ever recorded in the city back in 1965 and could mark the first time since 1940 the city has had three straight days of triple-digit-heat.
