TNFI was halted yesterday at 13 3/16 pending a request for more info. Accounting irregularities and possible restatements would seem to be the reason.

On 2/28 the co. announced a recapitalization plan that would give shareholders $17 per share. That was rescinded on 3/5 due to "unexpected delays in preparing its audited financial statements for 1998, the resolution of which may also impact the Company's 1997 audited results."

The stock had traded between $12 and $15 for most of the year. TNFI announced on 3/11 that they may have to restate some financial statements. Stock dropped early today to about 9, recovered to 11. Class action lawsuit have been filed the past few days, several brokerage downgrades before that.
