Emile and I are at far ends of the faith in our approach and beliefs. The link you put is part of the problem. This man was just like the rest of us and should not be held in such esteem. If we know every word of the Bible but show not love it is nothing. I am not saying this man did not have love I am just saying his endless need to focus on his understanding of the word is not the effective love I am talking about. A poor person unknown by the so called Christian celebreties that gives all they have to someone else in need and sits with them in their pain and gently tells them about the Lord will bring more glory from the Lord than someone that may have been wrong on their understanding of the Jews or the word and have therefore shared this error with many that have exalted them for decades. There even seems to be a need to seriously defend these people as though they are more than just sinners like us. The only One we need to esteem is our Lord.
A better example of what I am talking about is some kids in our neighborhood that are around ten years old that have working parents and they wonder around with no one to teach them. Or a person down the street that has cancer and needs to have their family feed etc..
All of this puffed up I know the word better than others will bring shame not reward from the Lord IMO.
