Totally by accident, I discovered that James Cramer (of TheStreet.com fame) was caught in a short squeeze of Noxall several years ago. Those of you who have subscriptions can read a fascinating account of the wrong side of a squeeze at the following link:

Bottom line: the stock took Jim from $50 to $69 on its way to $90 due to P&G buyout rumors. Cramer called it the worst trade of his career.

BTW: I'm still interested in learning about other real-life short squeezes people might know of and how much money was made.
