I see you are kickin' it old school with clock frequency pricing. The 1.2GHz Athlon Thunderbird was worth $100 because a 1.7GHz Pentium 4 was priced at $600. Right on!

The only way to justify prices that high, as Jozef said, was due to a lack of Conroe processors in Q3. I suppose AMD could take a page of out Intel's book and prey on consumer ignorance about clock speed vs. performance. But when factoring in performance and power consumption alone in comparison to Conroe I would say the prices should be:

5000x2: $240
4800x2: $210
4600x2: $190
4400x2: $175
4200x2: $160
4000x2: $150
3800x2: $140
3600x2: $130
