President Carter was a devout Christian( alas his brother Billy fell off the path and it appeared the bar stool, also:-) ) He certainly was a moral man with great conviction and heartfelt beliefs. His work with Habitat for Humanity(my favorite charity) is nothing less than spectacular, IMO. Unfortunately that did not add up to a very effective presidency.>>>
I campaigned for Ford and didn't support Carter, but since his presidency have grown to have a great respect for him. His volunteer work, especially with Habitat, has set a great example to all. I'm also a volunteer with our local Habitat chapter and would recommend it to all. There is no more rewarding experience than helping your neighbors.
