Bob was as bullish as I have heard him in quite a long time in November 07, so much so that he reverted to his old self on Moneytalk. Not sure you caught the show back then where he blasted the bad news bears who were predicting a recession and a bear market. He was quite animated about it, and for Bob to go out on a limb like that these days on the radio underscores the strength of his conviction at that time. That bullishness carried over into his December and January's newsletters where he was still recommending an outright buy at 1450. In addition, his target of S&P 1600s this year had not changed, he just has said that it could happen next year. However, last year when all the gurus were making their predictions of where S&P would end this year, he and Abby Joseph Cohen were pretty close. In fact, if you look over the long term, he and Abby have often had similar views. Bob took some money off the table in 2000 (Abby claims she did as well, although I don't follow her closely enough to verify).
