I agree Pat! Moved my stop on FIRE up to 5 15/16 when it moved to $6 1/8 this morning and was stopped out almost instantly (I only got 5 13/16 also). I thought "Great, now it will probably run" but was glad later in the day when it kept moving down. May just be a shakeout but I will take my profit and be happy. I sold some stocks last week when all I really needed to do was put in a reasonable stop loss order. They kept moving and I never would have gotten stopped out. The hardest thing to keep up with now is the stocks are swinging so much you do not want to get stopped out right before it swings back up. I use the previous daily low or move up to the previous day high if the stock starts moving in the morning. The less confident I am that the stock will keep moving up the tighter the stop. Anyone else have an opinion on what a good price range to set a stop should be? TIA bbgold :^)
