Sun made a strong case awhile ago that iran was looking to joint the system in some fashion and not destroy it. Being a nuclear power in his scenario was doing to the west what NK does to achieve its goals. But those goals are to remain and islamic republic while participating in growth--much like china remaining communist. This is OK by me, especially if the anti-israel, anti-semetic crap is taken off the table along with nukes. Few americans believe this. Sun used to make a good case using Asian Times for reference. Hell, cartoons about the holocaust are about as gross as you can get but kidnapping japanese gals is far worse and chavez and castro have been tweaking us as well. We must destroy al quaeda first, methinks. Getting the al q in iraq guy could be important. Maybe iran can control the militias in iraq at some point.
