The Mind of Reg(TM) is apparently as expert and infallible in matters of governance as it is in everything else. Said mind is as usual operating in some alien context where the distinction between a republic and a democracy is too subtle.<<< I highly recommend supporting PBS by buying the tape version of 'Yes, Minister' for a great laugh. And a good explanation of the relationship between career beaurocrats and our elected officials.
