"Yet our gov't wants to raise our taxes to give them more money to waste..."

(No idea what, if any, specific tax idea you are talking about here... but I SUPPORT a complete over-haul of our massive and corrupted and unproductive mess of a federal tax code. Slash all the loopholes and lower over-all rates... better still move to a single flat rate or a modified flat rate system and tax ALL INCOME, regardless of source, at the same simple and fair flat rate. That is the single best way to increase productivity for our society.)

"How about no more spending of borrowed money by Congress... And balancing the budget..."

I have supported my entire adult life the Balanced Budget Amendment to our American constitution, (and still do today!), because that is the ONLY WAY to achieve both of those goals.

Everything else has been tried, and FAILED, over-and-over again, administration after administration, decade after decade... politician after politician (REGARDLESS of how pretty their words when they promised to "end federal deficit spending").

No constitutional amendment means no change on this dimension.

History, and human experience, proves that.

No 'Fearless Leader' is going to come along and save us. The system isn't designed that way.
