On "legacy" vs "heritage" I agree, legacy would have been a better word, but it just wouldn't come to me, even though I knew heritage wasn't what I wanted. On the value of GSM1x: I too am optimistic, but I'm holding back my excitement until I better understand what the limits will be of 1x on top of GSM MAP vs 1x native all the way. Until I know that all of the existing and yet to be invented features and games and music and video and programs etc. will work as well on top of a GSM MAP core, I can't get enthusiastic about the long term prospects. Once this ignorance is taken care of, look out . . .
