If the not rich get a little wealthier and the rich get a lot wealthier than there is perhaps some amount of increased stressed but its better than if no one gets wealthier or if the not rich stay at the same level but the rich get poorer.

If I had the power to cause the real wealth of all the rich in the US to double tomorrow, without any of the wealth being taken from the not-rich I would do it in a heartbeat. I'd much rather everyone get wealthier but any increase in wealth without someone else's wealth decreasing, is a good thing (ignoring ideas like the wealth of terrorists or aggressive criminals increasing and their use of such wealth to attack others)
