Hello Nancy, I can not put myself in your position, as I have never gone through what you have gone through, and hope that I never have to. The only thing I can say is that the unfortunate early release of criminals who go on to hurt or kill others because of that release, is validation of capital punishment. It is a signal that thereis something wrong with our system and the overcrowding of prisons. It means that we have to develop a system that can protect the innocent from hardened, serial criminals. Capital punishment is the most extreme form of that , but not the only answer. There are other answers, but they requie money and a reordering of our goals and principals in relation to the criminal justice system. Mark
