Did Obama actually say "that tax cuts should only go up to $200,000 for individuals and$250,000 for couples" or did he say if you make less than that $200,000 for individuals and $250,000 for couples, my plan will not raise your taxes. I believe it was the latter, so I am not so sure why progressives are so bent out of shape about maintaining tax cuts for the higher income brackets? He did not promise to raise their taxes. I would be pissed if Obama did not also pursue the tax cuts which benefit me, like the payroll tax reduction (but only 1 year) and the child tax credit. At least he hasn't forgotten the middle class, or else he'd have a lot of unhappy voters.
