Chuzz, I agree that the times are very different. The frothiness of some of these internet plays and the fact that expectations of most seem to be exhuberent are the similarities I,m noticing and that I suspect that most of todays stock and fund buyers haven't lived through a sustained down market make me nervous.

I too have some IBM from the 60's. I too cant understand how it can keep going up with no revenue growth. Gertsner has done good for the shareholders, but the company is still strugling to find a growth path. I'm retired from there, my wife still works there and is still buying the stock. I cant figure why it keeps going. Seems like they'll run out of rabbits in that hat soon. Maybe right after Lou retires.
