It's a dangerous time for Romney to start hearing the constant meme that he is slipping in the polls, repeated endlessly in the press, because it can become a self-fulfilling momentum wave where people tend to shy away from the perceived loser.

But he brought it on himself in oh so many ways, starting with the tax returns all the way through his nonsensical "foreign policy" babble this week.
