Simon / Newport Petroleum & Genesis Exploration

I don't know of anything regarding operations which would cause a 10% jump in one day. Probably just catching up in price movement after taking a breather around $9/share. Newport will continue to be a great story. Hang on to those shares. I still consider Newport a good buy and expect good share appreciation with release of information regarding 1996 annual results and 1st quarter particulars. You mentioned possibility of taking short term profit on Newport -- highly recommend that you don't.

Regarding Genesis Exploration - has been acting very strongly. I would consider shares fully valued at this time and would either solicit the company for 1997 forecast or wait to see financial reports before I made a further investment in the company. Just need to be assured of continuous high growth rate.

Expect Stampeder Exploration shares to continuously edge higher. I continue to like Vermilion very much and will be watching events unfurl in Europe. Hugh upside potential here.

Continued good luck on your holdings.
