Symantec upped at Deutsche, strong earnings seen

LONDON (MarketWatch) -- Deutsche Bank upgraded computer software security firm Symantec Corp. to buy from hold, saying it believes the March quarter results will exceed its estimates. The broker told clients that the merger with Veritas Software Corp. should be completed by the end of May and that the company is likely to repurchase roughly $3 billion worth of stock after the deal closes.
