I just finiahed Richard North Patterson' latest, "The Spire." A suspense novel. An excellent storyteller, I have read all of his works. He wrote "Exile" and "Eclipse."

I agree, though this one lacked his usual intense research flavor.

I suspect he has reached the age points where revisiting his college years was enticing. But he still read college faculty and administrative life as if he were an undergraduate.

A much too successful former athlete returns to save his alma mater. Oh, please!!
