The Alaris box looks like the one I saw on CNBC about 1-2 months ago. It's not MPEG1, so it's not CUBE's MVP. Cost -- $229. Go to the Alaris website, select "about Alaris", and check out the magazine reviews. Here's an excerpt: <<Bear in mind that we're not talking professional-looking video here.
