<<God will show tremendous intolerance on Judgement day>>
This is what I dont understand the most. Correct me if I am wrong(as I am sure you will:-) ) But the way I understand it works is like this.
It doesnt matter(in terms of your salvation) what kind of deeds you do, what kind of good works you perform, or what type of intentions you possess. All that matters is that you profess loyalty to and belief in, Jesus Christ. It has to be Jesus, it cant be God, by any other name.
I truly mean no disrespect, but that doesnt seem right, just, or fair. I truly would rather keep the company of good people, who do good works, with the highest of intention. People who value that kind of love and compassion over all else.
It seems to me that God would also. I cant see the rationale of God wanting us to profess loyalty in his name only, and valuing that over good actions, deeds, and intentions. With all humility, I say that seems so insecure and petty. It appears so "ungodlike". I truly dont understand.
I hope you understand that my intentions here are not to convert people to my way of thinking. I have no desire for others to follow me. If they find that path on their own and it works for them, great. otherwise, I leave it to everyone to find their own path.
My intention for posting is to understand these basic premises that mystify me so, because they just dont seem to make sense. I am not looking for a Bible lesson, just trying to understand the basic premises.
In my heart, I know that god cares less about how and what we call him, just hat we call him. I will never believe that god has an ego, or anger, or even any negative aspect such as that.
Sincerely,
mark
