Dear Mark;

God judges our hearts. The important distinction to God is who we are not what we do. Are we willing to become his children? However as a child of God what we do is important to him. A loving Father is very interested in the deeds of his children. He wants the best for them and wants them to show the world that they are his. They do this through their good works.

Mat 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

A loving son wants to please his father and this is the relationship that God wants with his children. He seeks obedience and respect that comes from true love. Not that comes from fear and the warnings of men. Do not mistake what I say. I believe there is a terrible price to pay if we reject God's offer of Salvation. The scripture says Pro 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

As you know I disagree strongly with calling someone names and threatening them into God's love. However we must meet God on his terms, He is not under compulsion to fit our mold of Him. He is a loving Father who sent his Son to die for the sins of the World. He died for my sins and that is why I love him. Because while I was yet a sinner he died for me. He died for you Mark and wishes that you would honor that with faith. To deny the reality of this act of love is to make His death of no effect in your life. Because God has communicated this truth to us in terms of a Father Son relationship I would ask you to think about it this way. If your son were to do some great act of love towards someone and that love was rejected, minimized or scorned, how would you feel? I believe God would be justified in being angry. I would be much more comfortable in facing God by accepting his gift than in rejecting the Loving gesture he has made through His Son Yeshua.

I am sorry if I am rambling as I am not much of a preacher. God has placed you on my heart often and I pray for you when he does so. I would ask you to continue to speak with him about these issues. I know he will answer you as I have shared before. Remember that there is an enemy who is crafty and sometimes he may come in a Christian disguise in order to turn you from the truth. Follow your own heart Mark. Talk to God and Yeshua for yourself. He will not disappoint you because He loves you very much. I know he wants the best for you and that he will show Himself to you if you seek him with a humble and contrite heart.

In Yeshua's love for you - DLL
