Agree, it seems AMD is moving to mirror intel's Q3/Q4 line-up of ultra-cheap Celerons < cheap P4 dual core < Core2. This Intel lineup effectively ensures that AMD cannot "gut" all P4 sales with SC K8, since dual core sells vs single core, and maximizes the one big Intel advantage: capacity. See why AMD is hurrying Chartered production? The 2x256KB X2 will crush dual core P4 in both performance and power.
