take a look at FAX as well, it's part of the same fund family, but more australasian...i own both, but a lot less FCO because last time i looked it had too much pound sterling. the UK seems to be 2nd only to the USA wrt. housing bubble madness, so i'm not sure its economy & currency can be trusted to do well if/when people regain their senses.

either way, both are good vehicles for pseudo-forex plays inside brokerage accounts without having to deal with futures. the nice dividends are the icing on the cake. not too long ago they traded at a discount to NAV but that's disappered, in a real dollar panic i could see them doing a CEF and building some kind of premium.
