Perhaps, Mindless Alex, the tubular trout ought to be retired...After all it has accomplished nature's design, now like its salmon brethren it can turn a putrid red and be pickled and placed upon the mantle as a momento of accomplishments past...a piece of unnecessary baggage, which would only slow you down when fleeing to escape the tempers of unnamed others, cast by modern taxidermy in its most bellicose state.

Perhaps SFE can implore members of the coven to preside over a ritualistic removal ceremony ? I'm sure J could supply an appropriate utensil. The Sunday picnic seems appropro.
