Hi Gus, Thanks for the info and web links. We are in basic agreement on item #2. No factories exist which produce KM disks. This is a cause for delayed acceptance as no one knows what problems could occur in mass production - MAXTOR and its subs will be first. The news between MAXTOR and Ampex stated that a new pre-amp was needed and that Ampex would develop it - up to a stated dollor cost in research and development. This is another delay. This group just got postings on a new head design that would allow the maximum benifit from KM disks. No production yet - just applications for patents. The big manufacturers haven't seen a final product yet. This has all been a proposal and work in development. I'm encouraged and think that we now have a good chance for a major to sign a contract.
