Both of us were on this thread in the Jan96 time frame. We both have seen the CAP vs DMT debate for over the last 18 months. Back in Jan96 I was completely a NON-believer in CAP... it couldn't perform, noise would kill CAP, NEXT, FEXT, etc, CAP stops working... and so on. Well, I had an awakening "Teledotcom-results and IBM-tests" that CAP can perform and that it will be deployed. BT is using Westell CAP modems, if you want to completely blow that FACT off, fine... but I'm posting it. If this confuses people on this or any other thread... than they shouldn't be investing in the xDSL sector. Talking about facts being posted and not talked about, the only poster that posted anything on the Teledotcom issue was "Steve M". Am I 100% sure CAP or DMT can perform... NO. I'm not 100% sure about anything, let alone if BT is going with an all DMT deployment... until later.
