Fascists are anti-religion. Islamic extremists are overly religious to a fault. Therefore they cannot be called fascists. They are more like David Koresh types, only Muslim instead of Christian. Dangerous nut cases all. Fascism is extreme rightwing one-party nationalism with a heavy military-industrial elitist bent glorifying the Leader as a military hero and conqueror even though he was no hero in any war. Actually, sounds like like Bush-Cheney, doesn't it? After all, how many countries did Hitler invade that had never attacked Germany? And didn't Hitler try to scapegoat liberal as "communist traitors" and minority groups as un-Germans? Didn't Hitler invade countries for oil? Didn't he stick his military in quagmires? Wasn't his inner circle composed of propaganda wizards and arms merchants? Didn't he attack the free press, civil liberties and free speech? Of course. Just like Bush. McCarthy. All the extremist rightwing fanatics who have tried to hijack our democracy with fear and smear tactics.
