Hi all; The more I think about it, I realize I was wrong about national security cards. They should be eliminated instead. And drivers licenses and all that stuff should be eliminated too.

The fact is that all these documents are way too easy to fake. They really don't provide any security at all, not to the government, and not to the convenience store that accepts my credit card. They have no idea if the stuff is faked, and it gets faked every day.

What we need to do instead is have everybody fingerprinted. Then when you cash a check, your fingerprints will be automatically examined by a machine that compares them with the appropriate records. It's easy enough technology nowadays, and it would really put a crimp in wrong-doers' ability to operate freely.

Think about it.
