Flu shots have been a big deal the past few years, people lining up like shleps to get a useless shot, but they walk away feeling good.
They had many news stories last year here in Illinois about the shortage, old people whining "I need MY shot" etc,
so the Gov goes out and contracts with overseas co's for doses, then the FDA says hey, we didn't approve of that, we can't verify their manufacture, no dice pal, so the people of Illinois got nothing and had to pay for them anyway, but the gov got lot's of face time on the tube, 'cause he was doing things to protect the people!

Too bad the strain of flu las year (and years past) was no where even near the strain that hit the US...

It's like the dumb leading the stupid.
