Hello All,

After receiving numerous e-mails about this post by Steve Fancy I decided to come out of lurk-land for a single post.

I'm sorry, but no such conspiracy exists. I am my own master when it comes to expressing my opinion. I always hope that those who employ me trust in my judgement. If you have a question about my status in the future, please feel free to e-mail me. I might not always answer quickly ... but I try to get back to all mail.

I stopped posting because I became so disgusted by the way some people on this thread decide to treat other human beings. I always found it disgusting to watch some of the posts where all attempts are made to harass, insult, and demean the other person. I'm not even sure what the purpose is sometimes ... just to "win"? Win what?

I truly felt bad after my last post. It was not from a perspective of thought, analysis, and logic ... it was dropping to those low levels of attacking another person. What a total waste of time. I really didn't like myself for writing what I wrote. And so I lurk.

I *do* have to say that my last argument was about Microsoft's position with respect to NDS for NT. And it appears that I was right ... Microsoft caved ... customers were pissed ... Microsoft looks really stupid and manipulative now. And as for NDS on other platforms I noticed some recent posts questioning the success ... but remember that Microsoft had no contribution to NDS for NT, and yet it's a growing success. There are many ways to skin a cat, and I think that many people here are mis-reading the article and quotes about cross-platform NDS ... but we'll see.

Wow ... and U.S. West rolling out hierarchical caching throughout their infrastructure ... imagine that! And it will all be based on BorderManager? Gosh, who would have thought that. Again, I would say let's watch and see who else understands the power and scalability of BorderManager/FastCache and the benefits of hierarchical caching. I tried to educate ... but I know ... I've heard it all before ... no need to flame me now ...

The one that really pissed me off recently was related to my post #14271 last June, where I offered the following:

> Wacky prophacy #1: The Internet is the developing nervous system of
> the human organism on earth. Think about this carefully.

Have you all caught the Microsoft Digital Nervous System pitch? It's in their ads now ... Bill's talking about it ...

Bill gets it. But we've understood this for a while. And we're building it. I guess we'll all see ...

Back to work ... Brainshare is coming ... a lot to do ...

And I'm having a blast! ;-)

Back to my lurk ...
