As was discussed on this and another thread earlier this year, some previously healthy people actually develop bonafide medical problems, including asthma, upon cessation of smoking. I personally know of several.

BTW, Janice is going to be sorry that she wasn't here for this discussion. I believe she is the one who broached this correlation during our earlier smoking discussions.
