Lucent is the hardware maker. Covad and Rythym are DSL infrastructure maker or the street called pipe setter. They setup the DSL lines so people can use them and they charge for usage. Lucent is in different sector than Covad and Rythym. I know these companies are very interest rate sensitive. May be Fed Governor Meyer got to them.
