Matt, I agree the product quality and quality of service are two difference aspect of measurement on a product. I am not questioning CSCC product quality. What I really try to understand is CSCC product providing a neccesary features to satisfy service quality requirements. What I know is STRM FR equipment has automatical rate adjustment features. Whenever the user subscribing more bandwidth than that of he or she contracted and result of that causes the congestion in the switch, the feedback from switch will automatically reduce the sender bandwidth to whatever is appropriate but not below commited information rate. Another issue I question here is how CSCC FR equipment dealing with large networks, a network with more than 100 nodes. This is one of reason Worldcom has decided go with STRM equipments. RBOC does have Bell core constrain on the equipments they deploy. I think CSCC should pass that due to its acceptance by RBOC. But RBOC frame relay network are relative small. I would be interested to see what do they have to deal with when the demand mounting up. Regards Mike
