Could a SIM/RUIM card maintain a enable a user to be authenticated to a GSM MAP network while the user is connected to a CDMA RAN on an ANSI network?

Something similar happens with Globalstar where a standard Vodafone GSM SIM allows CDMA satellite calls to be made.
